Kema-keur is a quality mark for (Electrical) safety. In order to implement the European Community's decree on low voltage electrical products (February 19, 1973), the Dutch electrical law requires that all electrical products sold in the Dutch market shall meet the safety standards stipulated by it. Kema issues certification mark according to these standards. If a product obtains the mark of kema-keur and meets these requirements, it means that it can automatically meet the requirements of European laws.
Kema's experts provide services in testing scope, evaluation, inspection, audit and certification. Training and consultancy services are also available. Kema covers not only mechanical and electrical engineering, but also environment, safety and working environment.

Kema Keur certification system of Kema is recognized by the Dutch Certification Council, an independent organization established under the leadership of the Dutch government.
Most Kema standards are largely equivalent to the Dutch Electrotechnical Commission standards (Nen standards), which are based on IEC or CENELEC standards.
From November 1, 2009, Kema sold the certification service belonging to Kema quality B.V. to DEKRA, Germany. Kema still owns the kema-keur quality mark, but has granted the certification license to Kema quality B.V. therefore, Kema is more focused on the global energy market, committed to technological innovation, and focused on the global energy market, technical consulting and testing and certification services.
