On 7 January 2005, the Argentine government adopted two new resolutions 197 / 2004 and 198 / 2004:
IRAM Safety Mark
Certification introduction
为保
In order to ensure the safe use of electrical appliances by the public, Argentina requires that the electrical products on the market must meet the requirements of relevant regulations. Argentina issued a resolution on February 16, 1998 to establish a compulsory certification system to make the electrical products sold in the Argentine market meet the minimum safety requirements. The implementation of the system is divided into three stages:
Stage one
Certificate of conformity certification at this stage is similar to CE certification in Europe. All electrical products entering the Argentine market need to have a certificate of conformity, which is commonly referred to as CE certificate.
The second stage
Type approval products shall obtain the type approval certificate issued by IRAM after being tested in the approved laboratory of IRAM. Type approval only requires safety test without Factory review, but no safety certification mark can be used on the product.
The third stage
Product certification at this stage, all products sold in the Argentine market must obtain the national certification mark. The "s" mark can be used for certified products. Argentina's certification is in the transition to the third stage, i.e. product certification stage, and the type approval certificate can still be accepted in Argentina. However, from 2001 to 2002, the product will gradually complete the transition to the certification stage.
