Technological process

1. Fill in the preliminary application form and submit it to CSA international together with the instructions and technical data of all related products (including all electrical parts and plastic materials).

2. CSA international will determine the certification fee according to the specific situation of the product, and then notify the application company by fax.

3. Upon confirmation by the applicant company, a formal application form and notice will be sent, which shall include the following requirements:

(1) after the formal application form is signed, the wire transfer certification fee (which can be paid in RMB) will be sent to the office.

(2) send the test sample to the designated place according to the notice.

4. The designated laboratory will carry out the certification work on time.

5. After the certification test, a preliminary report (findings letter) will be issued to the applicant company, which is detailed as follows:

(1) how to improve the product structure to meet the standards.

(2) other information to be used to complete the certification report.

(3) please apply for the company to review the contents of the draft certification record

(4) marks required for CSA certification and the method of obtaining marks.

(5) factory tests required by the product.

6. CSA international will evaluate the application company's response to item 5 above.

7. At the same time, CSA international will prepare a certification report for product production reference and tracking inspection.

8. At this stage, in some cases, CSA international will go to the factory for initial factory evaluation (IFE for short).

9. Finally, CSA international will issue a certificate of compliance together with the certification record to authorize the applicant company to add the certification mark of CSA to its products.

10. The applicant company shall sign a service agreement with CSA international to indicate that both parties agree that CSA international will conduct product tracking inspection in the factory. The applicant company is required to pay an annual fee to maintain the agreement.

The certification and inspection of CSA mainly focus on eight aspects:

Human survival and environment: including occupational health and safety, public safety, sports and entertainment equipment environmental protection and health technology.

ways and means

The working procedure of CSA certification is very flexible, and the method steps are different according to different products.

1. According to the specifications and models. For example, it costs both money and time to do certification for each specification, so for products of the same use and different specifications, one or two representative certification can be selected. Such as 1-100 kilowatt motor, you can do this.

2. According to the special requirements of users, make certification for a certain product. For example: industrial switch, according to the user's opinion, the manufacturer's products are different from the original designed products, and can be certified according to the user's requirements.

3. Certification of large equipment. For example, large equipment is produced by several enterprises, which can be assembled together and certified at the assembly site.

4. Conduct field test according to human brain and physical strength. For example, children cannot open the drug packaging cover. .

There are four steps in the authentication method that CSA usually adopts:

1. Analysis before certification. After applying, the applicant shall analyze whether the relevant product information provided by the applicant is complete and whether the sample meets the requirements.

2. Analysis before test. The Certification Engineer determines the test items and draws up the test procedures.

3. Test according to procedures and items.

4. Analysis after laboratory test. After analyzing the test results, the Certification Engineer shall meet with the applicant. If the test results are in conformity with the requirements, the certification work will come to an end and the applicant's certification certificate can be issued.

1. CSA international logo with us or NRTL indicates that the product meets applicable standards in the United States and can enter the U.S. market.

2. CSA international logo with sanitation indicates that the product meets the requirements of NSF / ANSI, the applicable standard for food equipment in the U.S. market. The manufacturer can also choose to display the corresponding NSF / ANSI standard under the CSA logo.

For the U.S. and Canada markets:

CSA international logo with C-US or NRTL / C indicates that the product has passed the test and meets the applicable standards of the United States and Canada, and can enter both markets at the same time.

CSA mark of gas products

US market gas products:

The blue star mark indicates that the gas appliance product conforms to the applicable standards for using gas or other fuels in the United States. For the Canadian market:

CSA international logo without other symbols indicates that the product conforms to applicable standards in Canada. If the product has multiple properties (such as electrical equipment with combustion function at the same time), this sign means that the product meets all application standards.

Canadian market gas appliance products:

The CSA international blue flame mark indicates that the product meets the Canadian market standards for gas or other fuel products. Electrical products in the Canadian market: the EEV mark indicates that the product is certified to meet the CSA international standards for energy efficiency and performance.

Canadian forest products: this series of marks indicates that the raw materials of this product (or a part or a series of products) meet the sustainable forest management standard of Canada (can / CSA z809).
